Lasik Surgery

This treatment may reduce your dependency on glasses. Find out if you qualify.

Imagine being able to work, drive, play sports, camp—just about everything—without having to wear your glasses or contact lenses. Through advances in laser vision correction, a treatment called LASIK (Laser in-situ Keratomileusis) may make this a reality for you.

Laser vision correction is an outpatient treatment that uses a cool beam of light to gently reshape the outer surface of the eye, the cornea, thereby improving vision. Dr. Agrawal, a trained corneal and refractive surgery specialist, uses the FDA-approved VISX Excimer Laser System that has successfully treated millions of patients worldwide.

To find out if you are a candidate for laser vision correction, you will need a comprehensive eye examination performed by one of our physicians. This determines whether your eyes are healthy and suitable for the procedure. Several diagnostic tests including a refraction (the way light focuses into your eye), Corneal Topography (mapping the shape of the cornea), and a wavescan need to be performed.

Laser vision correction for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism is one of the most advanced treatments available today. If reducing your dependency on glasses or contact lenses sounds appealing, Dr. Agrawal would like to help you achieve that goal. Please contact our office to set up your appointment today
